11:11 | The Swan Mysteries

Ancestral Energetic Arts of Re-Membering

Devotion to myth, memory and metaphor are not detours from truth, but portals directly into its true identity and energy. They speak to us in riddles, dream symbolism, and synchronicity as the soul gathers, records and stores fractals of your truth in the most sacred of seasons, places, and spaces.

Winter Goddess Traditions

November 11 and the return of the Swan Rites

11 is often associated with awakening, dual pillars, and heightened spiritual perception and according to one of my favorite divine feminine teachers, Seren Bertrand, November 11 is a recovered ancestral Swan Festival, a rite of feminine magic, mourning, mediumship, and regeneration. This season holds a deeply goddess-centered interpretation that preserves fragments of the olde mysteries, where the coming darkness was not an absence of divinity but an encounter with Winters’ most concealed powers.

November is a threshold in which we retreat from the obligations of the outer world and honour the mysteries of the inner sanctum. Not simply a time of release, but an intentional descent into the unseen dimensions of life, where remembrance and regeneration are exceedingly possible.

In the Olde Mysteries of the Swan Rites …

It was understood that ancestry descended from the heavens through a supernatural feminine being, and that the motherline remained connected through ritual acts of remembrance. closely connected to our Sophionic mysteries within Magdalene Energetic Arts.

The Swan is the keeper of passage between the unmanifest and the manifest within ancient cosmologies that repeatedly appears at the threshold of divine birth, death, resurrection, prophecy, ancestral descent, and passage between worlds..

This is the offering of Samhain and 11:11

The Swan Mysteries are not simply concerned with death and rebirth. They symbolize the extraordinary capacity of the feminine to cross between worlds, retrieve what has been left behind in other lives and realms, and restore its potential through breath, sound, devotion, and sacred power. This is the ceremony of powerful Energy Healing.

In the Egyptian mysteries, Isis gathers the dismembered Osiris, restores the blood and breath of life through heka (effective sacred magic), with her wings. In the Irish swan traditions, supernatural women change form at Samhain, entering a transformative state of existence through the mysteries of enchanted song and sound. And in the traditions of swan women extending across northern Europe and Asia, the feather garment becomes a symbol of passage between human and otherworldly existence. These are genetic memories of our ability in the dream time, the hibernation of the dark womb, and our mastery of navigation and creation within the darkness. This is where we take flight..

Magdalene Energy Ceremony 11/11

Ceremonial application: Instead of asking what you wish to release, invite yourself to contemplate which gifts, strengths, and capacities have descended through your maternal ancestry, and which of those you now wish to consciously embody. This transforms the rite from an exercise in purification into a ceremony of ancestral inheritance. We can imagine this as the Wings of the Priestess, an energetic teaching in which the you cultivate the capacity to remain embodied while engaging deeply with symbolic, imaginal, and spiritual experience.

The significance of our journey is not escape from the body but to cultivation of a wider field of consciousness and lucid embodiment.

Irish lore provides a direct connection to energetic arts, remembering a tradition where the swan song itself changes the state of consciousness.

Caer Ibormeith: the Swan Woman who transforms at Samhain

In the Old Irish tale, the Dream of Óengus, the otherworldly woman alternates between human and swan form, transforming at Samhain. Her harmonious singing places those who hear her swan song into a profound sleep for three days and three nights, a dreamtime hibernation.

Early Irish descriptions refer to the tuigen, a distinctive garment associated with the learned poet or fili. In Sanas Cormaic, Cormac's Glossary, it is described using the skins or feathers of white and multicolored birds.

The tradition is real, although claims that it was specifically a swan-feather cloak worn by ancient priestesses go further than the surviving descriptions establish.

The esoteric interpretation is nonetheless compelling: the poet puts on a bird garment before exercising the power of inspired speech.

In a mystery-school reading, the garment becomes a ritualized change of identity, the transition from ordinary speaker into one who speaks from an inspired or otherworldly condition.

The feather garment is a useful metaphor for the initiated energetic body: one does not cease to be human, but learns to inhabit another mode of perception.

Mary Magdalene, the illuminated woman who knew the All is a dream oracle, sensual wisdom keeper, ecstatic prophet, High Priestess of Isis, the alabaster annointress, tantrik mystic and soul doula. Mary Magdalene is an emissary of the Goddess, teaching the codes of feminine magic to humanity.

Mary Magdalene is a talismanic name that carries power and passion and as a priestess of the womb rites, she embodies the wisdom of light and dark and how to dissolve, cleanse and revivify the soul.

The name Magdalene at its origin means magic doorway or portal of the Great Mother. Mary, Mari, Mar, or Mer are not ordinary names; they are priestess titles and words that mean “mother, beloved, waters or seas, and radiance/feminine light” in many of the oldest languages of the world, including ancient Egyptian, Sumerian, and Indo-European languages.

Additionally, The Latin root of maga is a derivative of Magdala and means - female magician - the feminine version of magus or mage.

Magdalene is a word of great feminine Magick and as a title means the initiator, the annointress as well as in Aramaic and Hebrew, the root of magdal meaning “elevated, magnificent, tower or throne.

When we speak of the Magdalene, we speak of a powerful spiritual master, a holy women in her own right, mother of the royal lineage, the first apostle, a priestess queen who came to initiate the masculine into his divinity, into his kingship. the Magdalene is a a King Maker through her embodiment of the Goddess on Earth.
